Please help us to help you.  If your family is in need of smoke alarms please contact our department.  In most cases, we can provide one free of charge and will install it for you.  Smoke alarms save thousands of lives each year.

If we cannot find you then we cannot help you. One of the biggest struggles for emergency workers is locating a family in need.  Please make sure your numbers are visible from the road.  If you need a sign like the one above, please contact our office and one can be provided to you for $15.

Congratulations to Brandon Schafer on his promotion to Lieutenant.  Lt. Schafer has proven to be a vital asset to our department and we look forward to working with him as a Company Officer.

 

HSFD News

The HSVFD responded to a one car MVA on Claussen Rd. late one October afternoon.  Upon arrival of Engine 711, SR713, and Medic 7, a Ford mustang was found several yards off the roadway, turned over with two victims trapped inside.  The vehicle was stabilized and the victims were extricate and turned over to EMS.  Both patients left the scene in serious condition.
